Maryhill Stonehenge
The first day of our trip was spent traveling from Pendelton Oregon to our vacation home in Netarts. We knew there were a lot of fun things to see along the way so we planned to take all day. I was loving all of the windmills along the way. Just hills and hills of them. But our first stop was in Maryhill Washington where there is a life size replica of Stonehenge. It's a world war I memorial and so completely interesting. The replica was constructed as a reminder that humanity is still being sacrificed to the god of war. Cord loved playing hide-and-seek in it. It was set on a hill and overlooked the Columbia river.
