Prom update

As I get more pics that were taken that night, I'll add them here. They had a fun night which included dinner at the Paris Eiffle Tower. I'm jealous. The big group they were with rented a "party bus" which took them to the dance. They didn't stay long because it was "lame". But they had a fun after party all hanging out together. She made some good memories and had a big smile when she got home.

The big group they were hanging out with.

The pictures that Jake's mom took of the beautiful couple.

Pool open for business

Yea, we heated up the pool water today since we are hitting the 80's (perfect weather for taking a dip). We had a fun night splashing around. It's times like this that I really enjoy having a pool in my backyard.

Scout Expo

Mason spent the weekend with his scout troop at a mega scout expo. They camped over-night and spent saturday attending merit badge clinics. This year, Mason earned an advanced totin' chip certification (so he can carve up sticks with his legal use of a pocket knife), and also earned the coin collecting, chemistry, and electronics merit badges. He really enjoyed collecting and learning about the coins and enjoyed soltering electric parts to a circut board. He has all the badges for his eagle, except the camping. 3 more nights to go. Then it's on to an Eagle project (hopefully this summer).

Prom

We've been waiting 17+ years for this day. On a scale of 0-10, she rates her excitement a 55! Her day started at the salon to her her hair done (while her date was getting ready by taking a nap). Lots of prep time to get ready for the moment when she decends down the stairs to her date, Jake Alewel, who's waiting to take her to prom. She looked absolutly beautiful and was glowing with excitement. Her biggest concern at this point was how to put the flower on without poking Jake. She has no idea what they are doing so I'll update later. My little girl is growing up way to fast. Just yesterday she was playing t-party and dress up with her sister. Now it's time to play big girl dress up :)

Waiting for her date in her Cinderella shoes.

Off they go to have a great night!!!!

Soccer photo shoot

Cord's soccer team decided to do our own team photos this time which is great!  One of the mom's brought her camera and took pics of all the kids.  Cord had so much fun that he asked me to go back and take more pics of him on the rocks.  He choose the poses so it was a lot of fun.  Usually I'm begging him to let me take pictures of him.  He has the funniest personality.

Cord's babysitter is VERY pregnant.  Cord, being the baby of our family, has never been through that before so it's a whole new experience for him.  He like's to pretend to have a baby in his belly with his soccer ball.  Cute, but a little distracting in the middle of a game or practice.

Prom

Chelsea has a really talented, high-tech, boyfriend. He took the above picture using her as his muse for a class project. Prom is coming up and we've been anxiously awaiting to see how he was going to ask her. I guess it's a sign of the times when your boyfriend creates an AP just for you. He put this fun AP that he created on her ipod. It said "for Chelsea". When she opened it, the following screen popped up along with some awesome music......

At the bottom there is a button for "yes" and one for "no". When you hit the NO button and big frowny face comes up. When you hit YES a big "yay" screen pops up. So now she has an official date for prom. I can't wait to dress her up. I've been waiting for this day for 17 years. :)

Senior Choreography

The second performance for Brianna at LVA was the senior choreography show. Some of the Senior students are the creative force behind the dances that were presented. The seniors then taught the dance they created to the class. Brianna is at home on the stage and loves to preform. Her favorite dance was the one where they wear the masks. They had to learn how to put them on and off during the piece and get it back on right so they could see. It was a great show. I love all the pics that Brianna takes while they are getting ready. You can see the excitement in their faces. You know they have worked so hard and hope they are able to preform their best.

The girls dress up and meet outside the studio before the show.  They greet the people who are coming but mostly they just like to dress up get excited about the show.

FIERCE!!!!!!

Madi was the senior who choregraphed their awesome piece.  It was one of the best of the night.
