Scout camp

And they're off for a week of scouting fun (or torture as Mason likes to call it).  I'm so grateful that Mason's scout master likes to take lots of pictures since I can't be there to see the fun things they are doing.  Here's some of the scouting moments with my son.

City Pool

The Relief Society group decided to meet up at the multi-generation center here in Henderson.  I asked Cord if he wanted to go, he got excited and said, "Yes! Let's suit up!"
We had a lot of fun meeting up with friends and swimming somewhere different.

Missing Mason

Mason left for a week long scout camp last saturday morning.  We are really missing him, especially Cord.  He's been having a hard time at night and doesn't want to sleep alone.  He keeps trying to have sleepovers with the girls and when I come home from work, I find him in my bed.  Mason doesn't really like camping and HATES bugs, but I hope he finds some fun parts of camp and enjoys being with friends.  We have a lot of great boys in our scout troop.  We'll hear about his adventures (or misadventures) when he gets home this saturday.

Pool Party

We finally had our first pool party of the summer.  I just didn't expect it to be with Cord's friends.  haha.  We invited the Blatter boys over to go swimming with us because it's a lot more fun with friends.  Cord definitely gets in the pool more than the rest of the kids.

It's nice to have the hot tub in the shade.  The boys kept hoping from one to the other.

It was also the perfect day to enjoy some popcicles.
Do you think I have enough floaties on Ethan?  Arm floaties, life jacket, and tube.
Can't ever be to safe I guess.

Outing in Town Square

Our Relief Society organizes these fun activities twice a week where we can go and meet and have fun with the kids.  I finally got to go on one of these outings and Brianna agreed to go with me.  We went down to town square where they have a fun splash pad and park.  It was an awesome morning.  There were some fun playhouses and even a maze.  Outside the park was some venders where the kids got a smoothie and we had a picnic on the grassy area.  We ended the fun with a little train ride.  Brianna was a good sport and went on the train with the kids but said it was fun because she got to check out all the stores around that she wants to go visit now.

It took Cord a while to get wet.  I told him to try "not to get wet".
It wasn't long before he was soaked and laughing.

Brianna's favorite part - the smoothies for lunch.

Cord's favorite part - the train ride!

The massive gummie bear that Cord found at the Sugar store.
Imagine the tummy ache if you actually ate this!  Uggh!
