Happy New Years

Bringing in the new year with family! I was supposed to be at work but I'm sick. Honestly sick. I'm even to dizzy to drive home. So we stayed in St. George and hung with the family (bonus). But we did send Brianna back to Vegas because she has some new years plans. So we played games until we dropped and the kids hung out together.

This is what we do to the first person who falls asleep. Dress them up and take pictures of them. Poor Caleb! Bring it on 2011!

Laser Mania

For the last several months Mason has been asking to go play laser tag for his birthday. We took advantage of our time in St. George to go to Laser Mania with his cousins. But before we went we headed to Golden spoon for a yummy treat (instead of cake). Once we got to Laser Mania they boys did the bumper cars (pretty lame cuz Mason's didn't even work), played video games, and then had an awesome game of Laser tag. It was fun to chase Cord and Caleb around and all they boys seemed to have fun. They ended the adventure by cashing in their tickets for prizes.

ARRRRG

We were chilling at my parents house when Cord came upstairs with his hand over his eye. I started to inquire what was wrong when he said, "I found the treasure". HUH? He held up the case and it soon became evident that he was pretending to be a pirate. ARRRRG. He keeps me laughing.

Bear Lake

Since we don't have a white christmas here, we had to go find our own. We were invited to go spend some time with my aunt at their cabin in Liberty (next to bear lake). We drove up monday morning and got there just as it started snowing. The next morning my car looked like this.....

But the kids bundled up and headed up to play in the cold snow. Chelsea got to drive the snow mobile, Brianna learned to snowboard and had fun on the intertubes with Danisha, Mason didn't spend much time outside, but Cord couldn't get enough of it. In some places, the snow was almost as tall as he was. There were times that I had to beg him to come inside because I was to cold out there

To keep warm we enjoyed sitting inside playing games. I just loved being with the Mortenson family. It was totally worth the drive up there and the super long drive home because of a big snowstorm that hit northern utah during our way home. It was supposed to take 7 hours to get to St. George but it took 9.5.

Happy 12th Birthday Mason

While we were at the cabin, we celebrated the day of Mason's birth - 12 years ago. We all enjoyed his cake. He'll celebrate with friends and cousins later.

Snow What?

Cord had a good time playing in the snow even though it was freezing. Him, Kayle, and Becca wanted to build a snowman but the powder wouldn't stick, so we just got creative with the tubes. I loved his icicle arms. It was all fine and good until the older kids wanted to go tubing. Oh well!
