Las Vegas Acadamy

We found out this week that Brianna was accepted into LVA (Las Vegas Acadamy)!!! She tried out in January and she has been anxiously waiting for a letter. It's a high school for the arts. She'll be able to major in dance and even double major in French if she wants. She'll have dance every day as they focus on ballet, jazz, and modern dance. They'll also teach the girls how to do choregraphy and prepare them to get scholarships for college. It's such a great opportunity. It will encourage her to develop her artistic voice. While she was super excited,I think a little part of her is sad that she won't see her friends everyday at school. Thank goodness for young women activities every week. I'm sure she'll find a way to stay connected. Especially since we bought a house down the street from her friends. She is so dedicated to dance which is great. She really puts her heart and soul into her dancing. As I watched her dance at the comp this weekend I got goose bumps to see the level of emotion that she had put into her lyrical dance. She told me later that the chorographer that taught that dance also works with the Glee cast. Super cool We are proud of her and that her hard work has paid off. This means that she'll not be on the preforming team for Fern Adair next year which will be a welcome break and a new experience. The school is located across town, but a bus will pick her up and bring her home. Hopefully she'll be able to get homework done on her commute.
