Family reunion at Park City

For our family reunion this year we headed up to Park City Utah to reconnect with family on my mom's side. I always look forward to our time together. I love it when we are all together in one house and I love the fun chaos. We spent time in the Olympic park and in historic old town. While at the cabin the kids rode bikes, went to a park, did some crafts, played games, put together and preformed a little play, and spent time in the jacuzzi. Our time together was much to short.

Cord had only one line, to make monkey noises. The play from beginning to end only lasted 1.5 min. But part way into the play he announced that he was "all done" and walked out. Funny kid!

Chelsea's Seminary class

Chelsea told me several times that seminary was the best part of her day when she was in school. Most of the kids took early morning seminary that started at 5:30 am. But luckily, this year they offered a class after school as well. That's why the class is so small. Chelsea loved her teacher, Brother Marquardt (Bro Mar for short). He sent us these fun pictures.

Class of Pine View - 1990

This weekend was so much fun. I attended my 20 year high school class reunion. I got to see a lot of my favorite people and relived so many good memories. The first night was an adult social combined with the Dixie class of 1990. I wasn't really planning on going, but Gayelinn convinced me to come. I went so I could see her and Paul again. We hung out a lot together our senior year and I haven't seen them for 20 years. So (even though I was super nervous - almost like being back in high school again) I went and had a lot of fun catching up with them.

Saturday morning was a family event - a breakfast at Staheli farm. They had some fun activities for the kids and it was fun to meet other people's families. It was also good to catch up with my cousin, Travis, who drove down from Seattle just for this event.

Definately the best part of the weekend was the get together with the seminary council. We had 9 of the 12 members there with their families at the park for a picnic. I loved catching up with our advisor and his wife - Jay and Melissa Lane. You could tell we just didn't want to leave. These were my favorite, favorite people during my senior year. We had so many great memories together.

Before the dinner that night, I got to meet with Paul, Gayelinn, and Brent Fisher to catch up without having to compete with the big group. Remember the picture (with all the hair) that I posted last week? Here's the updated version. Less poofy though.

We meet for dinner. It was fun going through old yearbooks and trying to put names to faces. After dinner was a slide show, prizes, and a trivia game. The power went out in the middle of the slide show so the prizes and game were held in the dark with a couple of emergency lights. I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time!

I 4

"I 4"
"No you are not, you are 3"
"NO, I 4"
(repeat same conversation at least 5 times)
"No, you have only had 3 birthdays so you are 3. On your next birthday you will be 4"
"OK, I 3"

Cord and I are sitting outside, reading stories, and waiting for the bus to come. We have this discussion almost daily. I don't know what we'll talk about when he actually turns 4. I think he is just obscessed with the number 4. When he counts he will often skip 3 (1, 2, 4, 5,...) or he will skip around and will end on the number 4 (1, 2, 5, 6, 4). What a funny kid!

We are GLEEKS

We can admit it.....we are GLEEKS! We love the music and the drama of GLEE. It's the first DVD that I've bought of a TV series. We have also turned our van into a "glee-mobile". It has a 6 CD player, and thanks to the new CD released today, we have 5 GLEE CD's in it. I just discovered that the songs that are not on the CD's I can buy on amazon and burn onto a CD so soon it our transformation to a glee-mobile will be complete. So we are totally prepared for our long drive to Park City in a couple of weeks. In preparation for the finale of season two, Brianna and Emma made a cake. We were not disappointed and it was over way to soon!

Bri memorial day hike

Brianna was invited to go on a hike up to Mount Charleston on memorial day. They posted these fun pics on facebook. She has loved hanging out with Emma Jackson. They are really cute together.

20 year reunion

Next week I'm headed back home for my 20 year high school reunion. WOW! It's been fun reconnecting with friends on facebook and I'm looking forward to seeing them. We've been sharing old photos and while cleaning out my garage today I found a couple more. The last one was the funnest group date I've ever been on and I had the best looking date there! I'm always amazed and the height I was able to achieve with my hair. It was long and thick and so in style back then. I was on the seminary council my senior year and got to hang out with the coolest people ever. I'm looking forward to seeing them the most.

Paul Anderson, Gayelinn Mecham, and I were almost inseparable our senior year. We even all went for a fun photo shoot toward graduation. Can't wait to see them!

Like I said....I have the hotest date there!
