Before we headed to the Sandy Expo on Saturday morning, we made a stop at the Healing Field. There were 3037 American Flags set up, each to honor a victim of the 9-11 attacks 10 years ago. Each flag had a tag that listed a person's name and a little bit about them. It just reinforced the ultimate tragedy of this event. Each person who died was important to somebody. There was a reverence there as we wandered through the flags reading about the individuals. There were firetrucks and military personal there. They were getting ready to unveil a new statue to commemorate the event. It was a great start to the morning.
