At the end of the rehersal all the girls were sitting on the stage waiting for instructions. Ms. Fern started calling names and told them to stand up on the stage. As Brianna and the other girls stood there they had no idea why or if they were in trouble for something. Ms. Fern stalled for awhile and let them squirm. Then she announced that these girls had earned their pointe shoes!!! The girls started screaming, jumping up and down, and crying. I was also super excited for her. That has been one goal of hers for a long time. In order to be able to learn to get on pointe you have to put in your time and prove yourself. This is her moment!

If those are her feet than let me lend some advice. The knot should ALWAYS be tied on the inside of the ankle, as the outside has a tendon that you can do serious damage to if the knot is resting there. Good job Briana. The elastic should also run the same spot where the ribbons cross on the top of the foot, that way they are hidden underneath the ribbons and the illusion is better. Now I feel like a know it all. Enjoy this time.
That is awesome== the pictures are great! She is beautiful. I would love to watch her dance sometime too. Congrats to Brianna for all the hard work paying off. Good for her!
