Independence day activities

The kids love to be in St. George with family for BBQ, homemade ice cream, and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July. Of course, daddy is studying and had a practice test this weekend, so we left him home. We went to Vernon Werthon Park with my sister's family to check out some of the fun activities saturday afternoon. They were mostly for the younger kids including a train, bounce house, giant slide, and climbing wall. The girls wandered around to check out the different booths while the boys played. We then enjoyed some snow cones in the hot sun.

Unfortunately, my grandma in SLC was very sick so my parents had to leave emergently to go up there. Amber and I had to be flexible and we moved the BBQ to her house. Chelsea was very concerned about grandpa not being there to make the homemade ice cream. With her help we were able to figure it out. We packed up the ice cream and took it up to our favorite spot to watch the fireworks (on top of the parking garage by blue bunny). While we waited for the fabulous show the kids had fun with glow sticks, ate ice cream, and those obnoxious SNAPS. In fact - Cord and Mason were having so much fun with the snaps that they had a hard time sitting to watch the show.
