Family Photo Shoot
Thanks to Valerie Hart for these amazing family photos. I love the setting. I've had people ask me if we were in a studio and this is a backdrop. I just laugh and say no, it's just my home. St. George will always be "home". You can't even tell what a monster Cord was during the shoot or the fact there were a ton of people out in this field doing the same thing. My kids even look like they like each other :). She always does a great job and is so patient. I love the bright colors. These pics also look great in black and white but I didn't want to totally overload this post. Thanks Val!

Male Bonding
The past weekend I've noticed a little male bonding going on. First, we got the air hockey table set up in the play room that we received for Christmas. Cord LOVES to play and begs everyone to play with him. I love air hockey. I hope it gets used a lot.
Mike then set up a massive tent in the boys room so they can go "camping". Although I don't think it counts towards Mason's camping merit badge. When I asked Cord why they needed the space heater he stated it was because it was because it was "cold outside" while hugging himself. It was representing their fire. At night the boys would sit inside their tent and read before they fall asleep.
Good night sweet boys. Sweet Dreams! Enjoy your tent because school starts tomorrow and then mommy is going to make your bed and put away your sheets. :)

Jan 26, 2011 - Brianna plugged in her MP3 and said "mom, you've got to hear this cool song". Then she started playing "99 Red Balloons". You've got to be kidding me. Am I really so old that the songs I listened to in HS are cool again?

Feb 1, 2011 - I forgot how much I hate packing, and cleaning, and "showing" the house. I just remind myself that its the last time. :)
Feb 2, 2011 - I put 63.4 miles on my car yesterday. Typical tuesday.

Feb 3, 2011 - Its so confusing when the Bobcats play the Bobcats and they have the same school colors. Who am I supposed to be routing for?? just waiting for the AWESOME half-time entertainment.
Feb 4, 2011 - What's more getto: buying eggs at the gas station, having to walk there to buy them cuz your daughter has the car, or having to borrow money from your 14 year old to buy them? I'm hopeless.
Feb 5, 2011 - Happy Birthday to Mason! He is celebrating his 12 year and 38 days birthday. We are such slackers. That late december bday is hard to celebrate appropriately.

Feb 16, 2011 - Even though we closed, we still don't have keys or the "go ahead" to start moving. Have to wait for it to be recorded at the county office. This process is so frustrating. And I just watched the news, supposed to be a big rain storm on Saturday - the day we have invited people from church to come help us move the furniture. GREAT!

Feb 24, 2011 - For Sale sign is finally gone, I actually cooked dinner tonight, and Chelsea made cookies. Finally starting to feel a little like home :)

March 2, 2011 - Cord opened up the freezer and stated "You need to pick up some ice cream". He is sooooo like his dad.
March 13, 2011 - Mars needs Moms was a cute movie. I made Mason and his friend go with me yesterday so I didn't look weird sitting in the theater by myself. I'm amazed at how far animation and 3D has come. Take a tissue if you go.
March 17, 2011 - Happy st patricks day. My awesome husband made sure my kiddos were dressed in green as he sent them to school. Wouldn't want my babies getting pinched. He said Cord was to little to say "I have GREEN in my blood". (A little McKelleb humor).

June 21, 2011 -Last night I ate a real fish just for the Halibut :). And today I have to admit that driving across the Astoria bridge freaked me out. Tall and long (4 miles).

June 23, 2011 - 109 in vegas vs 59 in Oregon. Looks like I picked a good time to vacation. Had a great time in Seaside and Cannon Beach today. Kids liked flying kites on the beach and the fun rides.
June 24, 2011 - Woke up early and went on a walk on the beach with my mom. We found lots of sand dollars, but only one complete one. Loved the quiet time
June 25, 2011 - Headed to Portland to go on a jet boat ride with the family for my birthday :)
June 26, 2011 - After a week of playing its back to reality. But only after 3 days of driving and a return to the heat. I already miss the abundance of green and someone to pump my gas.
June 27, 2011 - Just dropped my Mason off at scout camp (sniff). Finally at hotel for a nice end of day 2 of endless driving. (have been on road since 6 30 am)

March 17, 2011 - Happy st patricks day. My awesome husband made sure my kiddos were dressed in green as he sent them to school. Wouldn't want my babies getting pinched. He said Cord was to little to say "I have GREEN in my blood". (A little McKelleb humor).

Rocking all night long
So I brought in 2012 like I always do, at work. I was rocking the party all night long and it was WILD! :) Actually it was normally busy night, nothing too out of the norm. I work with some fun people. We had a pop luck dinner and Toni brought party hats so we took some fun pictures. We were able to see all of the fireworks they light off of the casinos from the windows of the hospital.
The girls are old enough to go out and party on their own. They each had plans with their friends and then ended up at the stake black and white dance. After the dance they went to friend's houses to party longer. Mason, Riker, and Cord were playing video games until midnight when Mike took them to see the fireworks and be loud/ obnoxious.
Maybe one of these days we'll celebrate New Year's Eve together, but prob not for awhile since the teenagers usually would rather be with friends than their parents. Until then I guess I'll stick to making time and a half on the holiday that I really don't care about and would much rather work on instead of Christmas.
