Random pics of Cord

I've captured some fun moments of Cord on my phone that I want to share.

He's always making us laugh.

Brianna gave Cord this dream catcher that he hung by his bed so he'll have sweet dreams.

The next chapter in life

Yesterday was Michael's day at Tiffany & Bosco.  He's worked there for 3 years (it was just Wilde and Associates when he started there and they later joined forces with T&B - a large firm in Arizona) so it's sad to leave.  But he's got a new job at Leach Johnson Song & Gruchow.  He loved the firm he was working for but longed to learn how to take a case to trial.  T&B doesn't go to trial, they do everything they can to settle the cases.  We are a little nervous about the change but excited for the new possibilities.  He'll start on tuesday.  I am sad about giving up the summer retreats at the big fancy hotels as well as the trips to AZ for the Christmas parties.  I told Mike I'd sacrifice those benefits for this new opportunity but I still hope he takes me away for a weekend this summer ;)

They have already removed him on the letterhead but his bio was still on the T&B website:

MICHAEL MCKELLEB joined Tiffany & Bosco in the spring of 2011 when the firm expanded into Las Vegas as part of a merger with Wilde & Associates. Michael practices in the area of commercial litigation – primarily in the representation of lenders and other commercial entities.

During law school, Michael worked as a Law Clerk for a debtor's attorney and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kathleen Delaney in the 8th Judicial District Court. While in law school, Michael provided staunch advocacy for children as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and Educational Advocate; continuing such advocacy currently by representing children through the Children's Attorney Project.

Prior to entering law school, Michael had a successful career in construction, centered on providing custom architectural wood products to custom home builders. Currently, if you do not find Michael mulling over case law, you might find him on his bike training for an upcoming time trial.

21 Years

21 years ago I married my best friend.  I'm so lucky to still have him by my side.  We've had lots of ups and downs like any other couple but I'm still so in love with him.  I'm also in love with the family that we've created together.  Happy Anniversary.

Valentines day

I don't usually care to much for Valentines day but I wanted to make it fun for the kids.  I found these fun candy boxes for them so I filled it with chocolate and left them on the counter for the kids to find.

Cord made this cute valentine at school.  I was so excited to get a valentine from my baby until I opened it,,,,,,

It's not for me, Its for Mason.  "Dear Mason.  How are you today?  Good  when you are good then I love you."

I asked Cord why his valentine was so mad.  He said that it was because nobody sent it a Valentine.

I'm so glad I still have a child who gets to prepare and hand out Valentines at school.  It's the best part of the holiday.

My attempt at making heart shaped pancakes for the kids for breakfast.

After the kids went to school, Michael surprised me with this beautiful necklace.  I was totally surprised because we have an agreement not to do anything for eachother for Valentines, especially since our anniversary is the next day.  It has small diamonds on the angel wings.  I totally love it and it makes me feel really special.  He's so thoughtful.

I got to go be a mommy helper at Cord's class.  It love being a part of his life at school.

I'm not sure why Cord has such anger issues.  His "love bug" is also mad.

Going outside to have treats and run off the sugar buzz.

It's fun to see the art projects hanging on the wall at the school.

Once again I get shafted on the love train.  First Mason, then the dog.

Yo, Ho, Ho - a pirate party for me

I had promised Cord a birthday party with some friends this year but December came and went and it was so busy so it kept getting pushed back.  We finally planned a pirate party to celebrate his 6th birthday.  He was so excited as we were planning all the games, cake, and decorations.  Cord wanted to help with everything.

We tried to make a pirate ship sail in the house.  And cleaned up the garage for the crafts.

We made pirate flags and "Ocean in a bottle" for our fun crafts.

Pin the Pirate on the treasure map.

Hot Crab (like hot potato) to the music of Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

We went on a treasure hunt.  We followed the clues to get to the treasure chest (pinata) in the garage.

Cord's pirate ship cake.  He insisted on having the ghosts on the cake.

Cord has never had a friend party before so he was suprised that they brought presents.  It was a fun bonus.  All the kids kept saying "Happy Birthday" and Cord kept saying, "It's not my birthday, it's just my party".

We had treasure box party favors to hand out to the guests full of "booty".  Some of the other games we had were bowling for pirates, cannonball shoot, and a couple other games we didn't get to like potato sack races and beanbag toss.

This was one happy little pirate captain!
