It's "Fall Day" (according to Cord)

St. George had some beautiful fall colors showing through, and it just so happens that there were a ton of leaves in my parents backyard. Perfect opportunity for our annual leaf pictures. Grandpa raked them all in a pile for us and after a few pictures, the kids were free to let loose and have fun in them. I love fall!!!

Family talent show

We have such talented kids. We decided to have our own family talent show. Chelsea played a couple songs on her guitar. Brianna couldn't share her dancing because she sprained her ankle at ballet. Christian played the piano. Mason played some Christmas songs on his saxophone. It was the first time my parents have heard him play and they were very impressed. Ethan showed us some cool Bionicles that he built. Rebekah played Amazing Grace on the piano. Caleb showed us that he can read. Cord showed us his robot dance on the wii. It was so catchy that the other kids wanted to try it to which was great because it kept them occupied while us big kids played card games. :)

Great Grandma's family party

We travelled back up to St. George after Thanksgiving for the family party to celebrate Grandma's 90th birthday. So much fun to see all my cousins and visit with them. We had a dinner and a talent program for her. Christian represented our family with his fabulous piano number. We talked about memories of grandma and expressed to her how much we love and appreciate her. She is an amazing lady. The memories really made miss my grandpa though. They were always together at all of our family events and were so much in love. I'm sure she really misses him too.

Happy Thanksgiving

We've had a great day!! Dave and Susie came down yesterday with their family. We've loved having them here. Last night Susie and I were making pies and other items for dinner. And today it was so nice and relaxing to work together to prepare our family feast. Mike's parents came down today and it was nice to be together for dinner. Mike made a fantastic fried turkey (like always). This was our first Thanksgiving in our new house. After dinner we had pie and watched football. The best 2 parts of Thanksgiving. Well, the boys watched football while Susie and I challenged the other girls to a game of Just Dance on the wii. Chelsea said she got video of us, I'm sure I was fabulous. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is when we write down some of the things we are thankful for and add them to the bowl on the table. Then we read them and try to guess who wrote them. You can't write "my family" or "heavenly father/ Jesus" so some really interesting things emerge.

Hey guys let me take a picture.....

OK, now for real......

HaHa, OK now for real.............. whatever :)

Some of the things in our thankful bowl include:

Kelso Dunes

Another awesome scout campout, climbing around on the rocks, although this huge sand dune looks a little daunting.  No wonder Mason came back with a ton of sand in his shoes.
