Magical Forest

We tried to squeeze as many holiday traditions that we could while Chelsea was here.  A visit to the Magical Forest was the last one we would do together on our way out of town.  We decided that Chelsea would follow us there and then she could go back to St. George afterwards.  Unfortunately, the traffic on the freeway came to a direct stop and she ended up hitting me.  Kind of scary for all of us, but luckily no one was hurt even though her air bags deployed.  We made our way off the freeway and to the forest to check out the damage.  We were a little shaken but determined to make the most out of our time together.  So we headed into the forest to see the fun sights there.

Riding the train around the "North Pole".

Pretend that we are having a good time....
Then show me how you really feel!

This is Mason's "robot".  We look for it every year.

Guess they've had enough of the family time together.  Chelsea headed up to St. George and luckily made it there without any problems.

Welcome to Christmas season

Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like a bunch of cactus covered in Christmas lights.  After enjoying dinner, the kids and I headed over to Ethel M. Chocolate factory to see the display.  Then we went to see the movie Frozen in the deluxe Galaxy theater.  Fun night with the kids.

Happy Thanksgiving

Loved having all of my kids together to enjoy this meal.  We have so many things to be thankful for.

Cord made this cute hat in school for the season.

Trip to the North Pole (already?)

After waiting in line FOREVER last year to see Santa, we decided to go visit him early this year.  Well worth it.  Cord didn't have to wait at all to talk to Santa and had lots of time to do the fun activities that they have there for the kids.

Brianna turns 17

Brianna wanted to spend her birthday dinner at Serendipity.  She couldn't wait to have some frozen hot chocolate.  We then wandered around the Forum Shops.  Luckily she didn't have school (Veterans Day) so she got to go out on her actual birthday.

It's hard to believe that it's November, but the weather was perfect so Brianna, Claire, and Madison went to Lake Las Vegas to celebrate Bri's birthday on Saturday.  They brought their own picnic lunch to enjoy together before they went paddle boarding on the lake.  I didn't know that there was a beer festival there at the hotel that weekend, but there was fun band there which made it fun.

The girls loved paddling around on the lake.

Cord and I got a paddle boat so we could enjoy the lake too.  Cord kept saying that his legs were tired so he wanted me to paddle and he would just steer.  NOT.  We would just sit on the lake and rest.  It was a beautiful day to be together.

That night we all enjoyed ice cream cake together.
