Brianna LVA dance

Brianna had a LVA dance concert this weekend.  It was the Senior Choreography show.  She loved both of her dances.  Here are some of the fun pics she took from behind the scenes with her friends that she dances with.

Clair came with us saturday night to see her show.  It was fun for her to dance for a friend.

St. Patrick's weekend

Henderson has a huge St. Patricks parade this weekend.  We took the opportunity to sell water to raise money for Mason's eagle project.  We were grateful for the help of some of the scouts in his troop.  They worked hard and we were very successful raising money.  We didn't get to see much of the parade though.  The girls and Cord got to sit and watch the parade.

After the parade, Chelsea took Cord to Chuck-E-Cheese for a little fun.

Here's the kids in their fun green outfits.

World's cutest leprechan!

Ready for a green Sunday!

We had our version of a St. Patty's day meal with roast beef and parsley potatoes.  We also had cream sodas in "beer bottles" with our dinner.  After family home evening we watched Brave and had a heated family discussion about if the Irish say "Top of the Mornin' to ya".  :)

Last group guitar concert

We've watched Chelsea grow with her guitar for the last 4 years.  Tonight was the last group concert. :(  They do have an awards banquet where she'll hopefully do one last solo for us.

Leprechauns

For school Cord had to build a leprechaun trap. He kept bugging us about it and watched mama 2 build one with her son. Finally he just built one there. He was so proud of it. We learned that leprechauns don't obey signs very well so he made a big one above the gold, they are also attracted to shiny things. Right in front of the pot is some sticky tape for him to "catch" his naught leprechaun.

Cord has also made some fun artwork. I can't figure out why so many of his things are angry though. He tells me "I like my crafts to be angry". Hum. This leprechaun is mad because someone took his gold.

Onward to Eagle

Mason finally earned his last required merit badge, the camping one. It was difficult because it required 20 nights of camping which he really doesn't enjoy. Mason had also submitted his eagle project and it was approved so for the next 6 weeks he'll be working on that. And then he's DONE! For his project he will be painting a large USA map on a school playground along with some dragon footprints. He is also doing a snack drive for the school. He has already been busy going around to stores asking for donations and organizing a fund raiser this Saturday. Busy busy! But I'm really proud of his hard work so far.

We've been hitting the stores asking for donations for his project.  It's good practice for him to speak to adults.  He's getting better at it too.

Sew what?

For scouts tonight Mason was learning practical skills like sewing on buttons and ironing. He was so interested in it that he got out my sewing kit and a pocket for his iPod and a cover for his x-box microphone. That's cool, but he better not end up on Project Runway or offer to design his sisters prom dress or I might be worried.
