Cord turns 6

Horay! Horay! Cord turns 6 today!! (well, on the 11th).  He's been telling everyone that he's going to turn 16 on his next birthday and he's just going to "skip all the other numbers", but there were only 6 candles on his cake.  He had a great day at school and wore his crown ALL day long.  Mason had his band concert on the 11th so we celebrated afterwards with this awesome cupcake snowman and presents.

Today, Cord and I went to the mall to pick out his birthday buddy at Build-a-Bear.  He chose a gray dog that he named Max.  He put a dog bark sound in his paw.

Waiting to get stuffed.

Cord chose a red heart and made a wish before placing it inside Max.

Then Max got a bath to scrub off extra fluff.

Next job was to pick an outfit for him.

Then to print out the birth certificate.

On to the dressing station to get Max dressed and ready to go home.

All packed up in his cool gingerbread house, ready to come home and live with Cord.

At the mall there was a little Christmas train, so Max and Cord had to take a ride.

It was a fun birthday present.  Cord spent the afternoon decorating the house with stickers.  We'll do a friend party in January after all the hustle and bustle of the holidays.

Letter to Santa

As Christmas gets closer, Cord finally got his wish list together to send to Santa.  He is hoping for a Switch and Go Dino, LeapPad2, and a Star Wars game for the wii.  Hopefully he's still on the nice list by the time Christmas comes. :)

Notice that Cord is missing another tooth on the bottom.  He lost his second tooth on Dec 13th.  He pulled it out by himself.

Holiday band concert

Mason had his band concert tonight.  He looks so handsome in his tux!!  They sounded awesome!

As a special treat for the kids, the band teacher dressed up like a chicken and rode his unicycle to the "chicken dance" music.  the kids LOVED it.  He is a great teacher and makes playing music a lot of fun.

Weekend Get-away

This weekend was the annual Christmas party for Tiffany and Bosco in Arizona.  One of the partners happened to be in Vegas so we got to fly to AZ in his private jet.  It was super cool!

The party was held at the Arizona Biltmore Waldorf Astoria hotel so we got spend the night in one of their rooms.  It was just nice to get away without the kids and spend quality time together!

We got to dress up nice and go to dinner.  These gatherings are getting better because we know more people to visit with.

We had some great views from our room.  It was nice just to wander around the hotel grounds.

Hanging with the boys

When I work, Momma 2 picks the kids up from school and sometimes she kidnaps Cord.  He gets so excited when I work because he's hopeful that he'll get to go hang out at her house with the boys!  Sometimes she sends me fun pics that I want to keep forever!

Robotics club

The team has worked hard for months designing and building their lego robot and today was the day of the competition.  They would make a presentation about their robot and how it would help a senior (the theme was Senior Solutions) and then they would complete several tasks with their robot throughout the day.

I came to the awards ceremony at the end of a long day for them.  Although they didn't win anything, they were proud of what they had accomplished since this was the first year for the Bob Miller Robotics team.  They learned a lot and had a great experience.  Mason is excited that the high school also has a Robotics club that he can continue to participate in.

Honor Guitar

I was excited to see Chelsea preform as part of the Honor Guitar Ensemble.  You had to try out to become part of this ensemble which is a collection of students from all over the valley.  They sounded amazing!
