First Dance Team Preformance

Today was the first official dance team preformance. They danced during half time at the first girls basketball game. It was fun to see them all in uniform, sitting together waiting. They wore their warm ups to school. I was never that cool. It was great to see Brianna in glitter and preforming again. Even though she has been taking dance lessons, she hasn't preformed like she did when she was on dance tracks. I think the last time was at the year end recital in May 2007. She did fabulous. I got goose bumps watching her. I did video the dance so daddy could see it. We'll have lots of opportunities to see her as she will preform at other upcoming games. When she was lining up I thought to myself, "When did she get so tall? And skinny? And so grown up?" She works very hard on her dances and it shows. We are proud of her!

Going private

I guess it's time I actually did it. I'm going to make the blog private in a week so if you still want access get me your e-mail. We do a lot of activities with family and I want them to feel OK about me posting pictures of the activities. I also really enjoy keeping a record of what our family is doing, thinking, and feeling. But I need to be more careful in this scary world.

Big boy for a new year

Yes, I know that my baby is 3, but he has never once tried to climb out of his crib. So we haven't been in any rush to get him out of it. When we put him there he lays down and goes to sleep, no fights or anything. I like putting him there for naps (yes - he still takes a nap for me :) and knowing that I can lay down and he won't get up and wander away. The only problem is that he'll wake up and no body will know so he is stuck in there. He'll just sit and read his books or play with his cars until someone goes to go check on him. There were a couple of mornings lately that I didn't hear him and the kids didn't bother to get him up so he is stuck. I guess it's time for the big boy bed. I can't keep him a baby forever. While we were up at my mom's this last week, daddy surprised us by setting up the bed for him. I even had bought him new "CARS" sheets to celebrate his big bed transition, but I must have been smoking crack at the time because I had bought the wrong size. I guess spiderman will have to do for now.

He loves his new freedom. We do put a gate at the doorway because one morning I came home from work and he was the only one up. He was wandering around the house with a sucker (who knows where he found that) but he was just as happy as could be. I would rather he get out of bed and play with his toys until someone lets him out of the room. He also loves climbing in bed with Mason. So cool. Next step - potty training!

One morning we couldn't find Cord in his bed and had to search around for him. I'm not sure at what point during the night this happened, but it was cute!

Random pics

With 3 cameras in the family now, it's fun to see what the girls catch on film. I was going through Brianna's camera and saw these cute pics from our trip up to St. George for family pictures. The cousins got the little doggie for Christmas. When Cord was trying to kiss it, he almost climbed right inside his mouth. So cute and little. I think we scared him though.

Family pictures

To save money and have fun, we decided to take family pictures with Mike's brothers family. They took pictures of us and we took pictures of them. The cousins always have fun together even when we are forcing them to look happy. And the pictures turned out great. 2010 will be fantastic as long as we are together!

We didn't even coordinate our outfits with them. We were going for the brown/blue combo and they were all in blue. We looked so good together we decided to try out the timer function again on my camera. We got everyone set and then I ran in. It turned out pretty good don't ya think?
